Sustainable Material

Luffa

🌱 A Conscious Choice- Derived from the dried cellulose fibers of the
Loofah Gourd, our cleaning scrubs are reusable, compostable and
biodegradable. They are made from a renewable resource and free of
synthetic materials such as micro plastics that are found in traditional
sponges.

🌱 A Lasting Choice - Even though very lightweight, luffa sponge
fibers are as strong and tough as natural plant based material comes.
The 3D network of plant cellulose can endure and absorb a lot of abuse.
On top of that, our scrubs combine 4 layers of this material and
reinforced the edges with stitching ultimately creating a light,
compact, durable, long lasting scrub.

🌱 A Safe Choice - Free from dyes and bleaches, our natural coloured
loofah scrubs are non-toxic and have stable physical and chemical
properties

🌱 THE BEST CHOICE - Our scrubs will not lint or shed like most other
scrubs do after many uses. It can be used on your pots and pans, ceramic
plates and bowls, glass surfaces and countertops. Luffa cellulose fibre
is a non-scratch material and is safe to use on non-stick cookware and
ceramic stove tops, even to exfoliate your skin! We offer two shapes to
provide versatility to your cleaning regimen. The rectangular shape can
be used on most surfaces but for times when you need to get into a hard
to reach edge or corner, we have a teardrop shaped scrub for that job.

📄 Care instructions - Soak in warm water on first use and watch it
expand! Because it is a naturally occurring material it will be stiff on
first use, it will get more flexible with each use. Clean by soaking in
a mixture of warm water, baking soda and vinegar or just pop it in the
dishwasher.

Diatomaceous Earth

🌎 What is Diatomaceous Earth?

Diatomaceous Earth also known as diatomite or kieselguhr, is a
sedimentary rock is composed of the shells of microscopic marine
organisms called Diatoms. Diatoms are shelled Phytoplankton that are
vital to the marine ecosystem as they provide nutrients for many of the
oceans’ creatures. They also play a significant role in the global
ecosystem as studies reveal they capture and store extensive amounts of
carbon from our atmosphere. When diatoms complete their life cycle they
drop and accumulate on the ocean floors or lakes beds. There the shells
of diatoms, which are silica, will consolidate through time and
eventually become Diatomaceous Earth or Diatomite, a light but durable
porous rock. The highly porous characteristic of this rock make it
optimal for moisture absorption and dissipation thus the perfect
material for our trays.

🌎 Why Diatomaceous Earth Bottle Trays?

Our natural Diatomaceous Earth bottle & soap trays are ultra-absorbent
and quick drying making it difficult for bacteria, mold and odor to
exist on its surface. It is designed with channels to take on moisture
overflow and allow airflow beneath your bottles to further ensure no
moisture is trapped underneath.

🌎 Care Instructions:

Although the silica composition of Diatomaceous Earth make it naturally
durable, it will break if treated poorly. Avoid dropping or exposing it
to blunt forces. In the case of watermarks or stains, scrub gently with
a wet brush or towel. For tougher stains scrubbing with baking soda may
help.
